A Peaceful Canal-Side Retreat at Scarlett

We've stayed with this rental company 4–5 times now, and Scarlett was a lovely addition to our collection of memories. It reminded us of White Sands, our previous repeat favorite, with its clean, spacious layout and peaceful canal-side setting. The lanai was a highlight—plenty of room to lounge, a perfectly sized pool and hot tub, and just enough sun to make reading feel like a ritual. Inside, the villa felt refreshed and cared for. The new couch was cozy, and the recently updated kitchen countertops added a touch of elegance. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to settle in and unwind. While we didn't spot as many anoles this time (a favorite wildlife detail from past stays), we were entertained by the leaping fish in the canal — unexpected little bursts that became part of our daily rhythm. It's those small moments that make these properties feel like more than just rentals for us. This was the perfect place to stay and exactly what we needed: a place to relax, soak in the sun, read books, and truly disconnect. By the end, none of us were ready to leave. Scarlett offered us a gentle, sun-drenched pause—and we're already dreaming of our next stay. Other notes: The property management team at Vesteva is always helpful, accommodating, and super friendly! Kat was great to chat with in addition to helping solve our internet hiccup – and she suggested a local eating spot that we all fell in love with! We did have a couple tiny maintenance needs upon initial arrival – nothing major – and the maintenance guy (Mike) was also very friendly and helpful when he came by! Our only suggestion? We'd welcome discounts for repeat customers as we continue to return each year for more stays (and come back more often)! LOL
